4. How reliable is ShrinkMyLink?
Very! ShrinkMyLink is owned by Implix, an Internet Marketing company that runs several successful online businesses for over 5 years now. Does GetResponse.com, WebsiteWizard.com, HyperTracker.com or EbookGold.com ring a bell? ShrinkMyLink is hosted on the same, bullet-proof infrastructure.
Why is this important? You just don't want your links, visitors and customers to somehow disappear in the Internet blackhole because of a hard drive failure or the closing of the company.
With ShrinkMyLink you can sleep well at night.

5. I'm an Affiliate Marketer. How can ShrinkMyLink.com help me?
Did you know that some people won't buy through the link when they recognize your affiliate ID in the URL? It may sound illogical, but it's true. Some people hate it when they know that other people (affiliates) are making money on their sales. ShrinkMyLink hides your Affiliate ID, so that the visitor has no clue she's visiting an affiliate URL. ShrinkMyLink does even more - it can cloak the real web address shown in the browser's address bar!

6. What's the difference between 'cloak' and 'redirect' action?
The end result is the same - a short, memorable link. However, the way these two methods work are different. Let me explain.
With 'cloak' ShrinkMyLink will hide the target URL so that your visitors will NOT see the address of the site they're visiting in the "Address" bar of their browser (great for cloaking affiliate activity!).
'Redirect' simply sends ("redirects") your visitors to the target website address, and they will be able to see that URL in the "Address" bar of their browser. Use if you don't need to cloak the target URL.

8. I would like to pass on some extra variables in my URL. How can I get ShrinkMyLink to pass them on?
Easy! Just add them to your URL! Example: if your URL is

http://www.shrinkmylink.com/abc/

and you would like to pass on extra variable such as affiliate=12345, you would simply add it to your URL:

http://www.shrinkmylink.com/abc/?affiliate=12345

and ShrinkMyLink will redirect your visitor to:

http://www.targetwebsite.com/?affiliate=12345

9. Can I have an even shorter link?
Yes! We haved added a new domain name, shmyl.com, that gives you an even shorter link (you may use both http://shmyl.com/xxx and http://shrinkmylink.com/xxx, where xxx is your link identifier).
